Adult Bible Studies

Men's Bible Study This study is open to anyone who may be interested in studying the Bible and fellowship with other men at FPCU. We meet in the FPCU library at 7:00 am on Tuesday mornings for an hour. We enjoy a light breakfast, chatting and a half hour of study and sharing.  Off for the summer...starting back up September 26, 2017 with a study of the parables.

Serendipity Women's Bible Study Using the Serendipity Bible for Groups, we study a complete book (which is mutually agreed upon by the group), reading a specified portion each week and answering the "cup" (ice breaker), "book" (about the text) and "heart" (life application) questions. Since the questions are found within the pages we're reading, we are literally 'all on the same page'. The passages are read together during our gathering, so there is no homework. We rotate the "facilitator" each week, and spend time sharing prayer requests, praises, and a light snack. We meet at 8:30 am on Tuesday mornings for an hour and are open to anyone who may be interested studying and fellowshipping with other women at FPCU.

Sisters in Prayer (SIP) Bible Study This study group meets every Tuesday at 5 pm (except summer months) for approximately one hour. The group is open to all women, whether you attend First Pres Church or not, and for all ages. We usually follow a written curriculum and each Bible-based study lasts up to 12 weeks. Some recent topics have been prayer, simplicity, grace, and faith. This is a very interactive group. We welcome you to join us in the FPCU library.

Presbyterian Women's Association meet for a monthly interactive Bible study, the 2nd Wednesday of each month, at 1:30 pm in the FPCU James Room. LADIES, YOU ARE INVITED… to the newest Bible Study starting, Weds., August 9, 2017, 1:30, in the library (or any other room that is cool). We'll use the Serendipity Bible as a guide, nothing to purchase, nothing to read in advance; simply come 'as you are', reading together, and as a group, answer a few of the suggested questions. The Book of John has been suggested, but maybe you have a different favorite. So bring your Bible, or choose from those in the library and join this great group as we study God's Word. I'll see you Aug. 9th, and we'll be inspired! For more info, you may contact Jaunita Coddington @ 263-5534.Please join us!
